Cherie Lumby

Cherie has 20 years experience in the environment and heritage sector and is on the current Register of Specialist Support Services Framework for The National Lottery Heritage Fund and Arts Council England. 

Nature conservation was the focus of her career in the public sector before she moved into green space development, event organisation, commercial management and heritage project management. In the private sector, as Principal Consultant at CFP, she worked on a multitude of grant funded projects and acted as a project mentor through the Heritage Trust Network and as the Senior Consultant at Kinver Business Solutions she provided capital construction project management services.  

Having established her own business in 2021 she is now working on a range of environmental, blue green infrastructure, flood defence, landscape and heritage related projects nationally. She works with multi-disciplinary, large partnership teams and a wide variety of clients covering the public, private and voluntary sectors. 

Cherie has been involved with over 50 externally funded projects across the UK (including The National Lottery Heritage Fund, DfE, GLA, EA and DEFRA), totalling £131 million throughout her career, and is known for and enjoys providing advice and guidance to grantees.  

She has been a Green Flag Award judge for over ten years, and is an experienced, pragmatic and dynamic consultant and project manager who is a qualified Prince2™ Practitioner.

Peter Lumby

Pete has been involved in Art and Graphic Design for over 20 years and has a keen interest in the environment and history. 

He has produced catchment and postcode maps, park management plan maps, consultation boards, posters, flyers, feedback postcards, annual evaluation infographics and interpretation panels and is a valued member of the team.

Pete is a good listener and communicator and is incredibly patient; key qualities required for graphic design. He tailors his work to client needs providing a professional approach to design and branding. 

His interest in history, culture and the natural world has proved invaluable in the production of heritage and nature focused interpretation boards. In addition to designing the panels he undertakes archival and desk-based research, highlighting key facts and developing stories of  interest to a broad range of audiences to improve public knowledge. 

Pete is a drone operator and enjoys capturing the beauty of the natural environment through photography and videography both at work and in his free time. He also enjoys illustration and creating animated videos.
